7digital What we said: Having left us waiting a frustrating 12 years for the follow-up to The Red Shoes, we ought to be thankful Kate Bush has delivered the follow-up to 2005’s brilliant Aerial in half the time. Admittedly, a collection of reworked classics might not sound quite as exciting as an album of brand-spanking new material but, thanks to Bush’s prodigious talent, there’s plenty here to enthrall. Breathing fresh life into songs from The Red Shoes and The Sensual World, she’s switched from digital back to analogue to instill her new arrangements with a touch more warmth. And, as anyone who bears witness to this wonderful record will attest, Kate Bush revisiting her back catalogue still trounces the latest offerings of most artists.
