Boasting transatlantic über-hits like ‘Linger’ and ‘Zombie’, and record sales in excess of 30 million in the 90s, The Cranberries must be Limerick’s most famous cultural export since a certain five-lined verse first tickled peasants back in the day. Thanks to a lengthy hiatus, the noughties may have been somewhat more low-key for the quartet so far, but that looks all set to change now. Following 2010’s worldwide comeback tour, Dolores O’Riordan and co headed back into the studio with long-time collaborator Stephen “The Smiths” Street, and are now unveiling Roses, which contains their first fresh material since 2001’s Wake Up And Smell The Coffee.
